Train to be a POKER DEALER and land an immediate job and earn $65,000 your first year! A dealer with AVERAGE skills in South Florida earns $50,000 a year. A GOOD dealer makes between $65,000 and $95,000 a year, making South Florida the BEST PLACE IN THE WORLD to deal poker!
New Year’s Day (and the resolutions that come with it) is just around the corner. Make your resolution to CHANGE YOUR LIFE FOR THE BETTER. It is going to be easier than you think…
In conjunction with MPS, John Calvo, a local and well-known poker room supervisor/instructor and MPS player, is offering a 5-week POKER DEALING course. The class will consist of 10 students. The instructor has been in the casino business for 15 years as a dealer, supervisor, shift manager, and has also dealt for the World Poker Tour. John has taught blackjack, baccarat and poker for over seven years, and has helped many people land jobs in the casino boats and local card rooms. He CURRENTLY holds a Shift Manager position in a local poker room.
Employment is VIRTUALLY GUARANTEED upon successful completion of the course IF you have a clean criminal record. Having a good image and employment history will also help. Upon completion of the course and final audition, the instructor will give you a letter stating that you have passed a rigorous audition and are recommended for employment. Some of you will already have jobs waiting for you when you finish. The managers at Gulfstream, Hard Rock, Mardi Gras, Miccosukee, Calder and Miami Jai Alai, will all be PERSONALLY contacted by the instructor.
Start Date: End of January (Exact date TBA)
Duration: 5 or 6 weeks (depending on class' overall ability)
Location: Near Airport
Schedule: 4 hours a day, 4 days a week (Mon-Thu)
Time: TBD (Depending on instructor’s schedule, either morning, mid-day, or evening)
Cost: $675. The price is an ABSOLUTE STEAL compared to other schools.
Instructor is able to offer this course so cheaply because of the cost-effectiveness of having 10 students. The enrollment fee includes the cost of materials. Each student will get to keep a set of professional cards, chips, handouts and padded work block.
The games you will learn: Texas Hold'em, Omaha, Omaha Hi/Lo, 7 Card Stud, 7 Card Hi/Lo, Razz, Kansas City Lowball (single and triple draw), California Lowball (single and triple draw), Tahoe, 5 Card Stud, and 5 Card Draw
The structures you will learn: Limit, Spread Limit, Pot Limit, No limit, Flex Limit
The techniques you will learn: Chip cutting, up-pitching, down-pitching, shuffling, deck spreading, bank counting, game management, hand reading, pot calculating and dividing, procedures and rules
Students who are familiar with poker or have experience playing it will have a great advantage over students who don't. Students who are under 40 years of age and/or female have a better chance of getting jobs due to the limited number of good female dealers in the area.
All people interested may respond to this posting via email or phone call. Instructor will reply immediately with any info you may need. A list of references which include dealers, supervisors, past students and poker room managers will be furnished upon request. Feel free to contact them or to visit their poker rooms and watch them as they work.
A deposit of $275 will be required 1 week before class starts in order to reserve your spot. The remaining balance will be due on the first day of class. If there is overwhelming interest in the course, priority will be given to those that have the greatest likelihood of landing an immediate job upon course completion. In order not to disappoint, instructor MAY offer a second course; decision on this will be made on a later date.
IMPORTANT: If you have a criminal conviction record, DON'T BOTHER wasting your time. Dealers have to be licensed by the state of Florida and will be subject to background checks. Misdemeanors are usually acceptable, depending on the charges.
THIS IS THE CHANCE TO CHANGE YOUR LIFE! Don't waste time thinking about it and DO IT. It doesn’t get any easier than this. This is a RARE opportunity due to the low price.
